The Sr. Software Engineer normalized databases, renamed variables, and reformatted and documented existing applications to facilitate maintainability. He also provided help desk assistance on the operation of programs and assistance when problems were encountered.

- SERVICE DESK ANALYST (11/05 - 12/06) - Solely responsible for supporting 32 Web Based Applications for the Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) Information Technology customer base (176 districts, public users, and KDE staff employees.) Utilized appropriate people skills and technical troubleshooting skills to resolve the customer's incident or escalation of the incident to developers or application owners. Coordinated and lead job specific meetings.
- QUALITY ASSURANCE TESTER (11/03 - 11/04) - Conducted evaluation/testing of ColdFusion and ASP.net web application and data systems on both Mac and Intel operating systems, and attended regular staff meetings. Co-authored QA Accessibility Guidelines adopted by the Commonwealth Office of Technology.

- ANALYST - Developed and maintained ColdFusion 4 web applications -- with Fusebox 3 and SQL -- and HTML based intranet web sites including almost all of the Human Resources sites. Answered employee Intranet portal email. Helped clients through the Project Management Tracking Database process.
- MANAGER - CONTENT DEVELOPMENT - Gathered requirements, managed projects, and developed ColdFusion 4 applications and web sites for the intranet. Maintained many intranet web sites and applications including most of the Human Resources sites and many of the Corporate Policies pages. Updated Career Path site in time for two corporate mergers. Created a prototype of the new Content Maintenance Request Form and worked as a client with the CMRF development team. Trained fellow employees in HTML and maintained intranet continuity by informing the new managers about the publishing policy and META Tag Generator application.
- INTRANET DEVELOPER - Developed web pages, ColdFusion 4 applications, and graphics used on Human Resources Intranet sites. Maintained roughly half the Human Resources sites and applications on the intranet including the Employee Benefits site, a CGI-Perl application with hundreds of web pages and PDF documents and a full time job in itself. Completely reorganized the Employee Benefits site to remove duplicate images in multiple sub directories, which in one instance saved 1024 KB in storage space on a heavily utilized server.
